Kirsten E. Smayda

Hi! I’m Kirsten (pronounced “k-EAR-stin”).

For the academic folks: I have a BA in Cognitive Psychology, a MM in Music & Human Learning, and a PhD in Psychology (Music Cognition) from The University of Texas, and have since worked as a data scientist, an applied researcher, and medical science liaison in “industry” since then.

For the industry folks: I have a background in data program development, analytics, regulated healthcare, music-based activities, and digital intervention delivery.

My current passions revolve around bridging the “academic-industry” bridge/chasm/gap/funnel with brain power and scientific concepts from the music cognition and perception field for the benefit of human health.
